Pastor Gary Satterfield

Pastor Satterfield served in the U.S. Marine Corps and graduated from Immanuel Baptist College in Atlanta, GA and Baptist University of America.  He is presently working on his Doctorate Degree in Theology. 

Pastor Satterfield became the pastor of Second Baptist in April 2008 and serves as the Director of Twin City Christian Academy and Living Springs Camp.  He previously started Indian River Baptist Church in Edgewater, FL and pastored there for eight years.  For 28 years he was assistant pastor of Canaan Baptist Church in Covington, GA where he started Camp Canaan in 1974 and he was the president of Georgia Youth fellowship for 17 years. 

Pastor Satterfield has been involved in Christian education for many years teaching in high school and college.   He has made many mission trips to Haiti, Mexico, England, and the Holy Land.  He presently serves on the Board of Directors of Macedonia World Baptist Missions. 

Pastor Satterfield married his wife, Rhonda, in 1972.  They have two sons who are also in the ministry, and they have three grandchildren.

Principal Danny Delaney

Experience: Mr. Delaney earned a bachelor’s degree, with majors in history and math, from Shawnee Baptist College in Louisville, KY.
 

Why he chose to teach in a Christian School:

The Lord blessed me with parents who were in the ministry.  From an early age, I wanted to be just like my dad who is a Christian school principal.  The Lord has given me the desires of my heart, which is to be the principal of TCCA.

Lynnise Bowman

Currently Teaching: Elementary Art , High School Home Economics, Yearbook Design
 
Experience: This is my second year teaching art and home economics at TCCA.  I have twenty years of practical experience in home economics and a background in graphic design doing layout and design for scrapbooking manufacturers around the country.  I am also thrilled to be the TCCA yearbook department sponsor this year.
 

Why she chose to teach in a Christian School:

As Christian parents of five sons, my husband and I have always been committed to Christian education.  Having graduated from TCCA myself, this school holds a special place in my heart.  I feel truly blessed that the Lord has allowed me to serve here and to share with my students some of the wonderful things that I learned at TCCA.

Beverly Brannen

Currently Teaching: Jr. and Sr. High History
 
Experience: Mrs. Brannen is a history major.  She went to Los Angeles Baptist College and has taught in Christian schools since 1970.  She also taught at a Bible institute for one semester in the Philippines.

I believe that God led me into Christian education.

Mandy Chronister

Experience: Ms. Chronister received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Christian Education at Heartland Baptist Bible College
 
Why she chose to teach in a Christian School:
While attending Heartland Baptist Bible College, the Lord showed me that He wanted me to teach in a Christian school.  At TCCA I am able to teach academic subjects from God’s viewpoint.

Leighanne Delaney

Judy L Freeze

Currently Teaching: 4 Year Old Kindergarten
 
Experience: Mrs. Freeze has taught K-4 since the beginning of TCCA and she has also substituted in K-5 through 12th grade.   
 

Why she chose to teach in a Christian School:

It's very simple. God put me here. I did not choose to be a 4 year old Kindergarten teacher, but God chose me. Praise the Lord, He did. I'm very happy knowing I'm where God wants me.

Robin Freeze

Currently Teaching: 5 Year Old Kindergarten
 
Experience: Mrs. Freeze has taught 5 year old kindergarten for 13 years and three year old kindergarten for 1 year.  She has also taught art for 12 of those years. 
 

Why she chose to teach in a Christian School:

My husband and I graduated from here and our two children are the first second-generation graduates from TCCA.  It is so wonderful to teach the children to read and write; but more than that it is a blessing to be able to teach the children to love the Lord and please Him in all things.  The Lord has truly answered my prayers in allowing me to teach in such a wonderful school.  I love TCCA!

Phil Herting

Currently Teaching: Biology, Geometry, Consumer Math, Computers
 
Experience: Mr. Herting has taught physical science, algebra, physics, trigonometry/calculus.  He also taught 10 years at Northstar Christian Academy in Rochester, NY.
 

Why he chose to teach in a Christian School:

I was saved when I was in high school and gave my life to the Lord to do whatever He would have. I went to a Christian college knowing that I could better find His will there. He opened doors there for me to study education, particularly in the math and science fields which I have always enjoyed. When I graduated I obtained a position in my home church in NY. Since then the Lord has led me and my family here to Missouri.

Jared Matthews

Why he chose to teach in a Christian School:

Having attended a Christian school throughout high school and college, I believe the Lord wanted me to help educate young people with the same Biblical perspective that I was taught.

Amy Miller

I went to a Christian school for eight years.  I then had to go to a public school where I had a teacher ask how many of us still believed in the Bible’s account of creation.  From there on, God led me into Christian education.

Julie Stratton

I love the atmosphere working with other Christian people.  I enjoy watching the children grow in the Lord.

Connie Herting

Current Position: Food Service Manager
 
Experience: Mrs. Herting started working in the kitchen part time for eight years.  In 1999 she accepted the Food Service Manager’s position.
 
 

Why she chose to work in a Christian School:

I chose to work and be involved in our Christian school when our children were young.  Now they have graduated and I’m helping others.

Carol Houston

Current Position: Teacher Assistant, Office Assistant, Elementary Music, and Private Voice Lessons
 
Experience: Mrs. Houston has been substituting since TCCA opened in 1974.  She has also been a K-4 teacher, a day care worker, a private voice teacher, and a clerk at Twin City Christian Bookstore. 
 

Why she chose to teach in a Christian School:

TCCA has been such a blessing to me and my family.  All five of my children graduated from the academy.  My granddaughter is currently attending TCCA.  I am happy to serve the Lord at TCCA and love what the Lord is doing here.

Margaret Sobie

Current Position: Church and School Secretary/Bookkeeper
 
Experience: Mrs. Sobie has had many positions in Christian schools in three different states.  She has taught preschool, kindergarten, 3rd grade, 5th grade, 5th and 6th grade Bible, and typing.  She has also done cleaning and worked in the kitchen.  In 1997 she became the secretary for Second Baptist Church and a few years later also started doing the bookkeeping for TCCA.  She now does all of the church and school office work.
 
Why she chose to work in a church and Christian School:
It has been a blessing to me to be able to serve in a Christian environment and be close to my three girls from preschool through graduation from TCCA.
