​Ladies' Activities

• Women's Missionary Society (WMS) meets on the first Tuesday night of every month. This time is devoted to praying for an supporting our missionaries. Gift baskets for visiting missionaries are assembled, letters and cards are written to those on the field, and any special needs are contributed towards. Each meeting has a different theme, providing the teen girls and ladies of our church the chance to get together and have fun working for a good cause.
• "Precious Pearls" Prayer Luncheons are held by our sister church, First Baptist Church of Troy, Illinois. Four times a year, a group of women from our church load up in a van or shuttle bus and travel for an afternoon of food, fun, and fellowship with likeminded ladies from several area congregations.
• Our annual Mother-Daughter Tea is a high point of the year. Over one hundred women attend with their children and grandchildren for a blessed time sharing old memories and introducing family to one another. Skits, music, and a devotional from a guest speaker only enhance the atmosphere that is enjoyed by all.
  

Men's Activities

• Men's Prayer Meeting occurs every Sunday evening at 6:15 before the evening service. From the "Greatest Generation" to the next generation, men of all ages gather in Room 105 for a time of strong intercessory prayer. For fifteen minutes, pairs pray earnestly for the hand of God to move in the upcoming service, for souls to be saved in our community and around the world, and for us to be better servants of Christ. This holy time of worship has not only strengthened our men spiritually, it has allowed many of them to become close friends in a special way.
• The highlight of the year for many of our men and boys is the Wild Game Feast. Held at Living Springs Camp in November, the Feast is an afternoon of fun that should not be missed. Our hunters in the church are encouraged to bring their best-dressed game for a potluck lunch. Catfish, venison, frog legs, and pheasant are traditional staples. A special speaker exhorts the men from the Scriptures after the meal, challenging them to be true men by following after God. The day is capped off by several hours of skeet shooting, a fun time of competition that shows who is really "the best marksman."
