"Go Ye Into All The World..."

The spiritual needs of the world have been the heartbeat of the church since its beginning. Obedience to the Great Commission requires each of us, "as we are going," to make disciples -- no matter our vocation. However, for the whole world to hear the Good News, some must be sent. Our missions activities focus on this process of sending. The selection of candidate missionaries, the support of mission agencies, finance development, information, promotion, and many other facets require the work of those whose special gifts equip them for this service. Many serve the Lord in this way.
Second Baptist Church considers missions to be an integral ministry of any local church. Supporting missionaries should not simply be a "token ministry," or an outlet for extra funds. We have the privilege of supporting approximately one-hundred missionaries on six continents of the globe. Our Faith Promise Missions program has enabled us to lend financial support to additional missionaries for the last several years. Dozens of our missionaries, and new ones, visit our services throughout the year. It is an honor to host them and allow them to present their ministries. Missions Conference is one of the biggest events of the year here at Second Baptist, when multiple missionary families gather for a week to worship and fellowship with the church. Many of our missionaries can be found in the list below. Take some time to pray for these choice servants of God.
