The purpose of the Second Baptist Church youth ministry is to lead others to Christ and establish in their heart the desire to carry out the work of the Great Commission--go, win, baptize and teach. We also encourage godly behavior that will promote a Christian testimony and provide an atmosphere for Christian fellowship.

Activities:

Although our main goal as a youth group is to serve the Lord and bring others to a saving knowledge of Christ, there are plenty of opportunities for fellowship and fun in the Second Baptist Youth Group. Our youth director, Silas DeMay, enjoys providing our young people with wholesome activities and outings as an alternative to the entertainment of the world. Participating in events in public also enables our teenagers to be bold witnesses and testimonies for Christ among the unsaved.
